Construction:
Fairey Marine Hot Moulded Agba veneers for the hull with marine plywood deck and cabin superstructure. Deck is laid to teak. A structural space frame for the engine bearers in hardwood with bulkheads and other inter-costal framing making up the famous Fairey Marine technique for a light yet strong seaworthy craft.

Accommodation:
Forward cabin with 'V' berths, dinette table & seating, marine heads compartment with hand basin. Separate spacious galley with ample storage. All basins have Hot & Cold water supply, also shower in heads. Aft cabin has two berths with heads as well.

She will easily sleep six in comfort & the saloon is spacious for entertaining or family.

Cockpit & Deck:
The cockpit is roomy and has the helm seat with double crew seat alongside and guest seats behind. The Teak laid and aft cabin are classic Fairey. Anchor is 10Kg Delta with 40 meters of 9mm chain. The Lofrans Mod Royal Windlass lowers the anchor through a Lewmar bow fitting and the chain locker is a professionally designed GRP locker.

Spray Hood & Cockpit Covers, also a new overall cover for full protection in the winter when ashore.
The Dash Board is laid out Fairey style, with navigational aids to hand.

Machinery:
Twin Ford Sabre Marine Diesels of about 225HP @ 2450 RPM. Transmission is via Borg Warner reduction marine gearboxes to the shafts, 'P' brackets and propellers.
Wiring loom to the dashboard, with usual Fairey layout for engine gauges & Morse controls.
Engines have been fully serviced and salt water tube stacks replaced.

'Water Jet' silent Bow Thruster fitted recently, which greatly assists in tight marina berths.

These Ford Sabre units give a cruising speed of around 22 - 24 knots with a max. of 28 knots, giving a cruising range of say 10 hours with safety margin. Fuel capacity of approximately 200 Imp Gallons

Whitlock bevel box and rod steering as fitted to the Fairey Range, gives the positive response & feel to the helm, which is one of the joys owing a Fairey Classic.

Electrics:
Four 110 Amp lead acid Batteries, two designated solely for the engine starting whilst other two are domestic auxiliaries. Battery isolators & cross over supply. 24Volt Alternators.
The 24 volt DC system has a 12volt drop down supply. A 240 Volt mains RCD protected shore power system is fitted. Running a cooker, water heater, 'Stirling Power' battery charger and outlet sockets.
The DC system switches for auxiliaries & navigation lights are fitted Fairey style within the forward cabin.
Shore power hot water by 'Isotemp unit' fitted in the engine bay. 'Webasto' heating ducted to all compartments

Galley:
No gas is fitted, the galley is all electric. A kenwood Electric hob with small oven below. Also an Isotherm Fridge. Work surface and basin

Bilge Pumping:
Four bilge pumps are provided, with auto or manual switching. Large pumps in the engine bay and saloon bilges, two small ones in the aft cabin bilge. A manual pump is fitted in the aft cabin.

Summary:
This Super Swordsman won the Fairey Owners Club Concours in 2018, The previous owner was a professional engineer and kept the machinery in 100% condition. Windows have also been replaced by the previous owner.     All wooden bright- work has been re-varnished. She comes with ships papers and history file.

She is a well maintained and much loved example of the Classic Swordsman, very much a 'press & go' Fairey, cruising the channel islands & channel ports under her current ownership.
