Accommodation
The cabin is entered from the cockpit to starboard and down two steps. From forward are two single berths in a u-shaped configuration with stowage under. Padded backrests outboard support varnished teak-fronted cave lockers. The upholstery is an Alcantara family mid-blue fabric which makes the cabin look superb and blends with the varnished teak. Under the foredeck is a huge storage area for bedding and clothing. All upholstery and cabin furniture were replaced in 2010.

The main cabin roof had a new Lewmar ventilation hatch fitted in 2010. The interior is light and has an airy feel with the full-length windows and cabin headlinings which were replaced in 2010.

The heads compartment has a teak louvred door on the port side. The manual sea toilet is mounted on a plinth within the compartment, with shelf behind; seacocks are under the plinth. A corner s/s sink with the teak facing and mixer tap for the pressurised hot and cold water. Panels on the wall may be removed to expose all the wiring for access/servicing. This compartment has washable formica surfaces and full standing room and may be used as a shower if appropriate fitting added.

The galley is on the starboard side and comprises a sink with hot and cold mixer tap. Stowage for food and cooking utensils is within a sliding door unit under the sink or under the side deck.

The electrical panel just inside the cabin entrance is easily accessible from the helm position. Breaker switches are supplied for all the lighting and other auxiliary services.

The cockpit/helm has excellent visibility through the classic trademark Fairey curved screen which had the perspex replaced recently. A raised step is supplied for the helmsman and she has two double white leather covered seats. The batteries are in the aft cockpit over the fuel tank and the water tank is under the helm position.

The cockpit is covered with teak throughout, again fitted in 2010. One central s/s granny bar is positioned half way down the cockpit for cover support and handhold. Cockpit lights were fitted recently.

The engines are easily accessible from the central lifting hatches, while the fuel tank aft is also fully exposed beneath similar hatches. Some storage is available each side of the engines and in the aft cockpit.

A new Tonneau cover is available for the screen with separate whole cockpit tent for mooring.

Remarks
A lovely example of the famous Spearfish and she has an extensive file of history with recent/past maintenance included.

In 2010 a full refurbishment programme was undertaken; both engines were taken out, repainted and new gearboxes fitted. The entire boat was re-wired plus a new chart plotter fitted. The cockpit was fitted out with teak. The hull, topsides and deck were all repainted with Awlgrip with the hull in flag blue and the deck in white.

The sole reason for sale is that the boat has been used for only 12 hours in total in the past two seasons.

In the paperwork is the original Fairey New Owners' handover/acceptance trials document dated 6 May 1976 which include the original invoice dated 4 May 1976.

If you are considering a Fairey classic this is a rare opportunity to own a refurbished vessel. She is on the water at present.
